'Outstanding in all Ofsted and SIAMS areas'

St. Mary's CE Primary School is currently rated by Ofsted and SIAS inspections as 'Outstanding' in all areas.

'The school gives its pupils an outstanding education in a vibrant, stimulating and welcoming Christian atmosphere. It buzzes with activities in performances, music and art shows. Pupils thoroughly enjoy school life, are happy and thrive. The school is committed to enabling all of its pupils to achieve as well as they can and it succeeds very well in this. As a consequence, they leave the school as well rounded, mature and confident individuals who are in a very good position to make the most of their future education and adult life.' Ofsted

'The warm, supportive Christian ethos has clearly contributed positively not only to learners’ attitudes and behaviour but also to the school’s impressive achievements both academically and in sport and the arts. Parents are overwhelmingly positive about the school and value its Christian ethos. They feel that it produces thoughtful, respectful and confident children.' SIAMS

Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. It reports directly to Parliament and they are independent and impartial. They inspect and regulate services which care for children and young people, and those providing education and skills for learners of all ages.

All Church of England dioceses and the Methodist Church use the National Society's framework for the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005. The framework sets out the expectations for the conduct of the Statutory Inspection of Anglican, Methodist and ecumenical Schools under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005.
