Pilgrimage to Chester Cathedral

Year 6 pupils attended a pilgrim day at Chester Cathedral. There were lots of activities for the childrent to do: birds of prey handling (Harris the Hawk pictured with Mrs. Wolstenholme who retired last year but volunteered to attend the trip); experiencing a monk's meal; campanology; caligraphy and iconography; concetena books; silk purse making; reptile handling;and  ink painting on silk in a stained galss design. The trip, which was funded by school, finished with an act of worship in our Cathedral and presenation of a special candle and certificate.
