St.Mary’s sports teams have had arguably their finest sporting year. The highlights being our Trafford Championship winning teams in athletics, basketball and rugby; a Trafford cup triple! In addition the netball team were crowned Sale area league winners and were runners up in the Trafford finals. Our Lacrosse team won the Sale and Partington Cup, which allowed them to compete yet again in the Trafford finals.

The basketball team and year 3/4 tri-golf teams also had the honour of representing Trafford in the recent Greater Manchester Youth Games. Furthermore our athletics and netball teams represented Trafford in the County Finals.

Our football, hockey, cricket and gymnastics teams have also enjoyed many competitive fixtures this year. Thank you to all the teachers and others who have helped to coach our school teams in what has been such a memorable year. So memorable, we have been nominated by Sport Trafford as Sports School of the Year!
