Extra Curricular Sports and Clubs

We believe that sport is an important contributor to a pupil’s physical and emotional health, builds individual and cooperative skills as well as team spirit. The PE programme in school aims to provide a safe, caring environment in which all children, irrespective of their physical ability can learn effectively through physical activities. In addition the school offers many after school sporting opportunities (see attached file below for more details), often these activities are of a competitive nature. We encourage all our children to demonstrate good sporting manners. As well as after school sport, we offer a wide menu of additional activities to cater for other interests.

  • To increase the quality of initial teacher training in PE and sport.
  • To promote PE specialisation in primary level workforce Schools understand and value the benefits of high quality PE and sport, including its use as a tool for whole school improvement.
